Curbs On Foreign Students Tipped To Hit Universities

THE Federal Government will make it harder for foreign students to live here permanently, exacerbating a slowdown in demand to study in Australia and creating further financial problems for universities.
According to IDP Education Australia, the Australian universities' recruitment agency, the number of students beginning courses has dropped by 3 per cent on last year, reversing a decade-long trend of increasing numbers.
